Fahad Diwan is the director of product management (privacy and data governance) at Exterro, where he creates software solutions that enable organizations to minimize their data risk. He leverages his legal and technical skills to build and commercialize products that automate privacy compliance and AI and data governance tasks, such as data discovery, assessments manager, data retention, data subject rights request, and consent management.
Prior to joining Exterro, he worked as a privacy lawyer and consultant at leading firms like Norton Rose Fulbright, KPMG, and EY, building and operationalizing privacy programs for large enterprise clients. He also co-founded and co-hosted Privacy Tech Talk, a podcast that interviewed privacy tech leaders from across the world and generated over 10,000 listens globally.
He holds a J.D. and a B.C.L. from McGill’s Faculty of Law, one of the top law schools in Canada, and a degree in accounting and finance from Concordia University, graduating summa cum laude. He is a Fellow of Information Privacy and has the CIPP/C and CIPP/M designations with the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
His passion is to create innovative, impactful, and commercially successful software products that address the complex and evolving data regulatory landscape.
